DEEDRA ALVARADO
Deedra Van Strien Alvarado has been with the firm since day one. She is the lead Litigation Attorney and in 2022 became the firm's Managing Partner.

Miss Van Strien Alvarado practices Civil injury litigation and criminal defense including juvenile dependency court. She is relentless in her advocacy for victims of accidents, and crimes. She has won tens of millions of dollars for her clients. She is licensed by the California State Bar, as well as licensed to practice in all Federal Courts in the State of California.

She holds a concurrent license with the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services as a Licensed Private Investigator with special certification in Forensic Interviewing, Accident Investigation, and Criminal Defense. These skills aid in her relentless advocacy on behalf of the injured.

She is an active member of the Consumer Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the Los Angeles California Bar Association (LACBA), the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice (CAJA), and the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI). Ms. Van Strien Alvarado further provides pro bono assistance to the less fortunate and victims with Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, and The Harriott Buhai Center.

Of Counsel, JAMES PALIWODA
Mr. Paliwoda is a graduate of St Mary's College in Moraga, California. He studied law at Southwestern University, graduating with a Juris Doctor in the SCALE program. He began his litigation career at Greenberg and Panish in 1985, working closely with David Greenberg and Howard Panish.
Mr. Paliwoda worked for Hartman, Morton and Schlegel and then moved up the ladder at Ives, Kirwan and Dibble trying insurance defense cases and learning from the inside how insurance companies work. Mr. Paliwoda now specializes in the litigation aspects of serious and catastrophic injury cases.The father-son team joined to form The Paliwoda Law Corporation in 1993.
Following the passing of Morris Paliwoda in September, 2012, the firm continues to provide courteous, prompt and highly effective legal services throughout Southern California. The firm's verdicts and settlements have been featured in The Los Angeles Daily Journal, O'Brien's Evaluator and Trial Verdicts Weekly.

Mr. Paliwoda maintains a continuing relationship with the firm, consulting and working on special projects.
MORRIS PALIWODA (1937- 2012)
Mr. Paliwoda graduated Assumption University in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University's esteemed SCALE program for advanced study of law.
Mr. Paliwoda spent his career in the Los Angeles and Orange County area in private practice with Sobel, McNally and Paliwoda preceeding the 1993 formation of the Paliwoda Law Firm. In addition to his extensive legal practice, Mr Paliwoda also served terms as a Vice President at Occidental Insurance and Bekins Moving and Storage.
Mr. Paliwoda specialized in the representation of injured persons in serious and catastrophic injury cases. He passed away in September, 2012, after a long and distinguished career working tirelessly to protect the rights of consumers and injured persons in Southern California.
